My Approach to Coaching

Ordinary Hero Coaching utilizes a combination of techniques that include the Energy Leadership program from iPEC and the Creation Coaching model from Raleigh Coaching Academy.

Energy Leadership refers to both a particular and unique form of leadership, and also, literally, to the process of leading energy, so that it works for you rather than against you. By learning and applying the principles and concepts of Energy Leadership, you can increase your ability to shift your own energy and the energy of those around you. When you do that, you will help inspire and motivate yourself and others, feel a greater sense of purpose, get more done with much less effort and stress, and constantly attract powerful people and success to you.

The Creation Coaching Model© is about connecting with your authentic self. The program is about creating the future you want based on what you know and believe about yourself. This program intends to change your perspective to embrace who you really are as a leader. When you lead from authenticity, you create meaningful connections and manifest your most unique and powerful identity as a leader.

 

Values and Purpose Discovery: Reconnect with your identity beyond the uniform.

Discover your WHO: We internalize the military values throughout our time in uniform, but what are your values? Values define WHO you are. This is a deliberate program of exploring your personal values and how you define those values. 

Discover your WHY: You had a purpose before you joined the military. The military simply became the vehicle for you to realize that purpose. Reconnecting with your WHY can help guide you to the most fulfilling path for life beyond the military.

Veteran leadership 1.0: RAD Leadership DEVELOPMENT

Resilient, Adaptable, Dependable is a unique leadership development program intends to repurpose leadership attributes and competencies for potential management or other leadership roles in small business and/or corporate settings. This program explores leadership qualities from alternative points of view that include academia and business leadership to address topics not typically address through military leadership and education programs:

  • Resilience – How can you improve your capacity to do more?

  • Emotional Intelligence – How can you leverage this primal factor to connect and inspire your workforce?

  • Motivation – How can you leverage intrinsic forms of motivation to inspire higher levels of performance?

  • Decision Making - How can you improve the quality of your decisions by recognizing and overcoming your blindspots?

The goal of this program is to help leaders cover their blind spots by broadening their perspective of leadership constructs from the civilian world.

Energy Leadership 360 AssesSment

The Energy Leadership Index is a one-of-a-kind assessment that enables individuals to better understand their perceptions, behaviors, and overall leadership capabilities. It differs from traditional personality assessments in the sense that it measures specific levels of engagement based on attitude and perception of the world. This program helps veterans and military leaders make a shift in their awareness, alter their perspectives and increase their energy and leadership effectiveness. 

  • Perception - How can you changing your view change your path to success?

  • Behavior - What can you do differently to achieve better outcomes?

  • Leadership Potential - How can you be the best version of yourself?

Clients can take the assessment at the beginning of the program and along the way to measure changes and growth.  The goal is to ensure objectives and progress are being made throughout the leadership development program.
